Our second of the six things we are looking at that will cause our light to shine for the Lord and the kingdom of God to be known is as follows:
We Must Deal With Our Greatest Fears:
2 Timothy 1:7(KJV) 7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The reason we must deal with our fears is that it will keep us from serving God in faith and power. Why?
1. Fear paralyzes
2. Fear negates love
3. Fear causes unwanted stress
4. Fear causes an unsound mind
5. Fear weakens power (in, through and for us)
6. Fear robs us of the hope we have in the Lord
1 John 4:18-19(KJV) 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19We love him, because he first loved us.
Jesus gave the commandment to walk in love and you can’t do that if you are fearful.
Galatians 5:5-6(KJV) 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
So we deal with those things that cause us to be fearful by the Word of God so we are effective kingdom workers serving God in Love
but there is also a good Fear and that is the Fear of the Lord its states the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom therefore this fear is a Godly fear and one that shouldn't keep us bound but set us free in Him... knowing He is in control of all things so no matter what He already knows what is going to happen and therefore the earthly fear shouldn't have control of us because if God knows what is going to happen doesn't He know what the out come going to be .. No Fear !! Praise God
